What is Botox, and how does it work?

Botox is a purified form of botulinum toxin type A. It works by temporarily relaxing the facial muscles that cause dynamic wrinkles—like those formed from frowning, squinting, or raising your eyebrows. The result is smoother skin and a refreshed appearance.

😊What areas can be treated with Botox?

Common treatment areas include:

  • Forehead lines
  • Frown lines (between the eyebrows)
  • Crow’s feet (around the eyes)

💉Does Botox hurt?

Most patients describe the feeling as a small pinch or slight sting. The needles used are very fine, and the procedure is quick—usually under 15 minutes. Numbing cream is available should you need it, as well as squeeze balls!

🕒How soon will I see results?

You may start to notice changes within 3 to 5 days, with full results visible in 10 to 14 days after your treatment.

📅How long does Botox last?

Results typically last 3 to 4 months. Over time, muscle activity will return, and wrinkles may gradually reappear. Many patients choose to maintain their results with regular treatments.

🥶Will I look “frozen” or unnatural?

Not here, in our clinic we aim for subtle and natural enhancements. We will always start conservatively with a small amount, and if there is a need later on we can top this up as part of this first treatment.
